Springfield a Struggle for DiCarlo
Akin, IL (August 19, 2008) - In just her third start on a dirt track surface Gabi DiCarlo found that no two races are the same.
After an impressive dirt debut at last years running of the Allen Crowe 100 which saw the ARCA/REMAX rookie finish in the 18th position, DiCarlo had a tougher time trying to figure out the ever changing track conditions at this year's race. Gabi would qualify in the 28th position but was never really able to get comfortable with the Great Clips Ford Fusion and finished 25th."This was a completely different track from last year, I enjoyed this race last year but this was a struggle," said Gabi. "The way the track changed with the ruts in turns three and four, I just couldn't find a good line"
The Great Clips Team will return to the asphalt for a test at Chicagoland Speedway this week before heading to the DuQoin Fairgrounds and the second dirt race of the ARCA/REMAX schedule.
